So the long awaited, highly rated, over-hyped and super-advertised movie finally came out in the cinemas and we all insisted on seeing it on the very first day to avoid any one telling us what the movie was about.
So we marched to the cinema excited, curious and anxious to see what the movie had in store for us. Sincerely speaking our expectations were “extremely” high I must say. The reason for the expectation running out the roof was that this movie’s from the same producer Kunle Afolayan, who shot award winning movies like Figurine and October 1.
Also he’s got the best PR and Publicity strategy, he knows just how to sell and market his movies well way before time. So he goes on to create the buzz that keeps everyone desiring to see the movie.
Well this movie was no exception to the other ones he had done before now. I will say that I had to compare opinions and rating to decide on mine and my thoughts weren’t farfetched from the others I consulted.
In general it was a good movie. Usual good cast, location choice, production, storyline, suspense and thrill. But I sincerely don’t think my expectations were met nor surpassed. It was just not good enough. I had dreamt so much and envisaged so much that he had to do much more to keep us impressed and thrilled.
